Tuesday was spent in Honolulu at the Bodies exhibit! It was so fun! I took me back to the days of anatomy lab-which I loved so much. The only downer is that they don't let you touch anything and I had forgotten a lot of things. Time to brush up on my terminology before school starts! The grossest thing at the exhibition was a teratoma. I had read about them, but never seen a real one. Basically it is a tumor that grows other kinds of tissue and even organs, although that is rare. They generally contain hair, teeth, and bone! I know I am going to be a nurse, and I am supposed to be able to handle these types of things, but i think it was one of the sickest things i have ever seen in my whole life!
